The SUGI Menu
Korean food made fresh in Tucson: kimbap rice rolls — the Korean cousin of sushi and California rolls — plus ramen, bibimbap, street-food sides and Korean drinks.
Kimbap 김밥
Kimbap (also spelled gimbap) is Korea's beloved rice roll — seaweed, seasoned rice and fresh fillings rolled tight and sliced. People often call it Korean sushi or compare it to a California roll, but kimbap is its own thing: sesame oil instead of vinegar, cooked and pickled fillings, and made to travel.
